Andreas Chr. Christoforou
Andreas Chr. Christoforou was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. After graduating from the Pagkyprian Gymnasum he studied Law at the University of Kent in the United Kingdom. He returned to Cyprus in order to become a member of the Cyprus Bar and later, he was admitted to Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC). Andreas became the first Cypriot to take part and graduate the above institute with a Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property and Competition Law.
The MIPLC’s program, jointly managed by Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property and Competition Law (Munich, Germany), Universität Augsburg (Augsburg, Germany), Technische Universität München (Munich, Germany) and The George Washington University Law School, Washington, DC (United States of America), covers the entire spectrum of IP issues from a highly international perspective including European as well as International application and enforcement of IP law.
Andreas Chr. Christoforou is a member of the European Community Trade Mark Association (ECTA) and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle - AIPPI).
Despite his young age, Andreas Chr. Christoforou is considered to be an expert in the circles of Intellectual Property and Company Law in Cyprus, and has successfully advised several leading companies and organisations in the field of technology, arts and design, brand management, pharmaceutical and entertainment industry, recruitment and business development and finally company law, in Cyprus and abroad.
